You’ve just picked up a warm, handmade loaf from Naturalis Sourdough—now what? Whether it’s our Original, Italian Herb & Cheese, or a sweet cinnamon swirl, here’s how to keep your loaf as fresh and flavorful as possible.
🌿 Store It Right (No Plastic, Please!)
Naturalis Sourdough is made without preservatives, so proper storage is key.
For the best texture and taste:
Wrap your loaf in a clean kitchen towel, beeswax wrap, or a paper bag.
Store it in a bread box or on the counter at room temperature.
Avoid plastic bags—they trap moisture and can ruin the crust.

❄️ Want to Save It for Later? Freeze It!
Sourdough freezes beautifully. Here’s how:
Slice the loaf before freezing.
Wrap individual slices or sections in parchment paper.
Store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
Toast slices straight from frozen or thaw naturally.

🔥 Revive a Day-Old Loaf
If your loaf starts to feel stale:
Lightly mist the crust with water.
Warm in a 350°F oven for 5–10 minutes.
It’ll come out tasting oven-fresh again!
🧄 Bonus: Repurpose the Leftovers
Don’t toss that last heel or crusty edge. Turn it into:
Homemade croutons
Bread pudding
Breadcrumbs
Toasted sandwiches or paninis

🛒 Shop Fresh, Eat Well
Our small-batch sourdough is baked with organic ingredients and wild yeast, giving it a naturally longer shelf life than store-bought bread—but it’s still best enjoyed fresh!
